Eve Coaches has recently invested in three new ADL Enviro200 midibuses for its bus services in East Lothian, the first vehicles of the type to have joined the fleet in over a decade. Two of the buses are 9.7m long and the third is a shorter 8.9m model.

While theoretically seating up to 36 and 32 passengers respectively on their comfortable ADL SmartSeats, which are finished in a smart red and cream moquette with leather headrests and feature USB charging points, capacities remain restricted during the current pandemic and manufacturer-designed protection screens reduce the risk of virus transmission for drivers.

Active travel is encouraged with the provision of bike racks inside the vehicle, facilitating multimodal journeys.

Charlie Miller, Regional Sales Manager at Alexander Dennis, said: “With the Enviro200, Eve Coaches has chosen Britain’s best-selling midibus and I’m confident that Gary, his team and passengers throughout East Lothian will be delighted with the winning combination of excellent design and state-of-the-art amenities, all supported by best-in-class aftermarket support that maximises vehicle uptime.”
